Planned Offering of Afternoon Courses in 2012/13
Dear Parents,
Below , you can view our Afternoon-Program for the coming school year 2012/2013. Based on the recent survey and on our experience from previous years, we have put together an attractive program that is sure to offer something fun for everyone. Registration for courses is scheduled for August 20 – 23, 2012. Please note that enrollment is not based on a „first come, first served“principle this year. In case of high demand, we will accommodate by establishing additional courses.
Information concerning additional intensive remedial courses in our Elementary School:
Regular remedial courses for German will be offered during our morning program. Additional remedial courses like “Reading-Writing-Training (Lese-Rechtschreib-Training, LRT)”, “German-In-Depth “or “English-In-Depth “will be offered as special services.
Small group-sizes require doubling the fees for these courses. Therefore, the costs for a student already registered in the afternoon-program will be an additional $300 per school year/per course, for unregistered students the fee will be $600 annually per course.
Generally, we advise you that programs can only be offered, if a minimum of twelve students is registered, for remedial courses no less than six and no more than eight students. Eligibility of students for the science project “SchüEx“ will be assessed by the respective subject teacher. If applicable, you will receive additional information.
At the Upper School, German and English remedial courses are integrated in the afternoons. Recommendations for participation in these programs have been made by respective subject teachers and notifications were provided in form of an informational letter accompanying the report card.
