Art exhibit at the School Entry Level

The students of the School Entry Level are opening their annual Art Show.  The students invite everyone to the opening  on Friday, March 20 from 8.30 – 9.30 am in the rooms of the SEL.

The children were introduced to famous artists, their art and techniques.  These span from Michelangelo, the Impressionists to modern Art such as Andy Warhol and Alexander Calder.  During this time the children visited the National Gallery of Art to view the originals, which inspired them.

Children show an openness toward art unlike anybody else, and they have few fears to express their impressions and feelings about the art seen.  Ideas about motifs and artists are creative and open up a new understanding and renewed interest for adults to (re-) discover art.

Let them surprise you as you visit the exhibit on March 20, 2015!
