Election Committee for the Board Elections 2014

Dear Members of the German School Society Washington,

At our extraordinary membership meeting on June 12th 2014, we will be holding a very important election: we plan to fill via vote all NINE positions on the Board of Directors of the German School Society.

We are seeking a diverse range of candidates with an interest in contributing to the oversight of critical school functions, such as facilities planning, financial planning, personnel and outreach. We are also looking for candidates with exceptional managerial skills and experience.

Attached are the Rules of Procedure of the German School Society. Part II, paragraphs 8-22 detail the rules of procedure for electing the Board of Directors.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to contribute your talent and knowledge within the school community by joining the Board of Directors thus shaping the future of the German School. We encourage you to send us your application to the following email address no later than May 22nd, 2014: election2014@dswash.org

Thank you very much for your support and your interest!

We look forward to a high voter turnout and of course to seeing all of you, on Thursday June 12th at 7:00 pm, at our very important membership meeting.

Join us in shaping the future of the German School!

Kind regards,

from the Election Committee

Joseph Cunliffe, Chair

Sonya Velasco, Vice-chair

Jeannette Dubrey, Member
