Embrace the Spirit of Giving this Holiday Season

Dear Members of our GISW School Community,

As the festive holiday season fills our hearts with warmth and joy, we are thrilled to share a sneak peek of what is in store this coming February: the launch of our Annual Giving Campaign at the German International School Washington D.C.!

During 2023-24, you will have the opportunity to support school development via one or more of the following funding avenues:

  •     Capacity Building General Fund
  •     Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Fund
  •     Creative Arts Fund
  •     STEM/MINT Fund
  •     Scholarship Fund
  •     Individualized Learning Fund
  •     Athletics Fund

Our upcoming GISW Annual Giving Campaign will focus specifically on raising funds for initiatives and programs that champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at our school.  We hope you will join us as we embark on this journey towards a more inclusive future, where each student can thrive and bring their unique perspectives to our learning community.

Why wait for the new year? December offers the perfect opportunity to make a lasting impact while potentially benefiting from valuable tax deductions. Since GISW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your financial gift to the school will be tax deductible. If your employer matches your contribution, you can maximize the impact of your generosity.

As we eagerly anticipate the campaign's launch, we invite you to consider including GISW in your holiday giving plans. Click here to make an online donation to the campaign. Contributions are accepted via online credit card payment, cash, or check made out to “German School Society.”

For those interested in making a larger donation as a lead gift or initiating a matching challenge to encourage others to give to our school’s annual campaign, please contact Jennifer Precht, Advancement Director via email (jprecht@giswashington.org) between now and the end of January.  Thank you in advance for your support.

Wishing you and your loved ones a holiday season filled with love, laughter, and the joy of giving.

Warm regards,

Your GISW
