GISW students qualify for the "Jugend Präsentiert" state finals

This competition is about mastering presentation skills in German, especially in the field of science and mathematics and includes the creation of videos.

The winners of our 2023 school competition were given the opportunity to submit their videos to the Germany-wide competition, which attracted record participation this year from nearly 8,800 entrants. About 120 participants were nominated by a jury for the state finals. Six GISW students, representing the foreign schools made the round.

Congratulations to the following three teams:

  • Rui N. and Louis R.,
  • Julian N. and Katja N. sowie
  • Josephine M. and Sarah L.

What happens next?

The competitors’ videos have to be re-edited by the beginning of May. The teams will be offered workshops and can take part in an online “presentation academy” organized by the school and "Jugend präsentiert".

The competitors’ presentations must be ready by May 7, because that's when it's all about qualifying for the national final competition!

The state finals for German School Abroad like ours will take place online and the teams that qualify for the national finals will be invited to Berlin, Germany.

We wish our presenters great success!

But even those who didn't qualify this year shouldn’t be discouraged.

There will be a new school competition in April in which students in grades 4-11 can participate.

Please note the announcements on the MINT announcement board and in the MINT team. Further information can be found on the "Jugend präsentiert" website: https://jugend-praesentiert.de/schülerinnen

We would like to thank all students who took part in the 2023/24 competition and their parents for supporting the school's STEM program.
