2nd Grade Field Trip to National Postal Museum

with Mrs. Aminzadeh and Mrs. Ascensio
On Friday, February 19th, the second-grades of the DSW visited the National Postal Museum in Washington, D.C.
The museum is a hidden gem and impresses and astounds with its architecture and exhibits. Students were able to engage in plenty hands-on activities. They sorted "dead letters" into Nixxie (let them tell you about it), they selected digital stamps and emailed them to themselves, they designed personal stamps with their own picture, they played a zip code game, and they wrote and mailed postcards. Time flew by, and before we knew it, it was time to head back to school.
