Invitation to the First Day of School for First-graders 2015

Invitation

to celebrate the First Day of School

for our First Graders

on September 2, 2015

at 9:00 am

Dear Parents,

We cordially invite you to celebrate your child’s First Day of School on September 2, 2015 in front of the Elementary School of the German School. The celebration will start at 9:00 am and will last for about 45 minutes. In case of rain the event will take place in the auditorium of the main building.

Afterwards, the homeroom teachers will lead their students to their classrooms and hold their “first lesson”. Meanwhile, we will offer coffee and cookies for the parents in the cafeteria. Parents will be asked to enter their child’s name into the provided bus list. You can also drop off your child’s schoolbooks, so that her/his backpack is not too heavy to carry. Please write your child’s name in the books and store all in a sturdy bag (please label the bag with her/his name). Your child can leave the pencil case in her/his backpack. We will take the bags into your child’s classroom.

At 10:45am, after the first lesson, we will take a class picture in the recess area.

At 11:00am, the first day of school will be over for our new first graders.

We are all looking forward to this special day!

Sincerely,

Monika Rodrigues
Elementary School Principal

Elene Collett
