Saint Martin

Saint Martin

Once again the yearly St. Martins Parade was a huge success.

Our horse and rider (Aphrodite and Sandy McCormack) were great and delighted everyone. The younger children were in awe of the beggar (Ella Caldwell). After the story the kids ran to her, hugged and cuddled her and offered her help. They all felt very empathetic for the poor “man”.
The accompanying music was enjoyed by everyone.

The buffet spread was amazing and children and adults alike were well taken care of.
The countless colorful lanterns lit up the path and decorated the edge of the soccer field. It was an artistic light festival.

Thank you to all the helping hands and the great support we received in making this event turn out so wonderfully. Thank you to the Friends of the German School who sponsored the ”Weckmänner”- cookies. A big thank-you goes out to Mr. Schwarz. For years he's been so very kind to go on a long drive to pick up the baked goods for this event. Sadly, this was the last time, since he and his family will be going back to Germany. We will miss your support and help greatly.

Thank you again!
