SES visits Heidelberg Bakery

On Wednesday, April 20th, 2016, our students of the School Entry Level went on a field trip to Heidelberg Bakery in Virginia. In the kitchen, Thomas Fend, the baker, explained how puff pastry, bread, rolls and chocolate cookies are made. We were all invited to have some of the latter ones when they were still warm.

He also showed the five-to-six-year-olds how Pretzels and creative cake decorations are made. As a good-bye present the owners of Heidelberg Bakery, Carla and Wolfgang B├╝chler, were so  kind to give all visitors a big bag of baked goods.
