Welcome first-graders!

Monday, August 25, 2014 marked an exciting day for our 34 first-graders: It was their very first day in school! After parents and children had gathered outside of the Elementary School building, Head of School Waldemar Gries and Principal of the Elementary School Monika Rodrigues gave a warm welcome to the new students, their parents and relatives. The second-graders greeted their new friends with songs and rhymes before their teachers Ms. Aminzadeh und Ms. Kapustin guided them into their new classrooms . After two hours, the kids had completed their first day of school and rushed home to finally open their school cones! In the meantime, parents enjoyed coffee and cake offered by the parents of our second grade students. All in all, a promising start into a great school year!
