March 30, 2020:  Gov. Larry Hogan issued a stay-at-home order for Marylanders which means no one should leave their home for any reason other than essential work, to get food or other fundamental reason. The order takes effect at 8 pm.
For the GISW this means:

1. All GISW buildings will be closed for the foreseeable future.

2. In order to give our teachers and parents more time to prepare, we are postponing both parent nights that were scheduled for tonight to Thursday at the same time.

Distance Learning until Friday, April 24th, 2020.

We are here for you as we continue to prepare for the 2020/21 school year. The Admissions Office remains open. Please complete this form and we will contact you:

Open House

Come on in and visit!

During the academic year, we open our doors, and invite you along with your children to experience a typical day with us at our preschool here in Potomac, Maryland. You and your little ones can observe our children throughout the day starting with circle time, craft projects, reading circles, as well as German language sessions. It is a fabulous opportunity to not only get to meet our certified, German-speaking teachers and observe them at work, but you will also meet parents of our current students and can exchange experiences with them.

Separate tours of all buildings of the German International School Washington D.C. are also available.

Next Open House: February 7, 2020, 9am

We’d love to welcome you! Sign up today. German language skills NOT required for preschool admission.

The German International School Washington D.C. stays in touch with its alumni around the globe and is very proud of their achievements.
