VOLUNTEER - Christmas Market

Dear Parents, dear School Community,

For one magical day each December, the school is transformed into a beautiful, authentic German Christmas Market, evoking the tastes, smells, sights, sounds and spirit of a true “Weihnachtsmarkt” in Germany.  This event, which has been a tradition at the German International School for the past 50 years, welcomes guests from all over the region, who come back year after year to sample delicious food & drink, hear lovely Christmas songs, select handmade gifts and celebrate the day with friends and loved ones. Whether you lived your entire life in Germany or have never set foot there, this day will recreate the festive, welcoming spirit of a traditional German Christmas Market.

This year the Christmas Market will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 11 am to 5 pm on the GISW campus. All proceeds directly benefit the students by supporting many projects throughout the school year.

In order to successfully carry out our German Christmas market again this year, we need your support! Would you like to get to know other members of our school community at the mulled wine stand or at the cake buffet, or even sell traditional Erzgebirge items in one of our Christmas sales stalls? We are grateful for any time and support you can give.

No prior knowledge is required! Just bring your school spirit and be ready to have an enjoyable time. Ideally, shifts last 2 hours, which you will see on the sign-up.

The FRIENDS organizational team is there to support you, and each volunteer also receives a complimentary beverage and cake voucher as a small token of our appreciation.

We look forward to spending this wonderful day with you!

Please support us and join in. It would be nice if you signup: CHRISTMAS MARKET

Thank you for your support!
