Afternoon Program 2016/17

Dear Parents,

Please see our Afternoon-Program, including the course descriptions for the upcoming school year 2016/2017. We think you will find our diverse course offering attractive.

Grades 5 through 12 – THE REGISTRATION CLOSED ON JULY 22, 2016.

> Overview of afternoon courses for grades 5-12

> Course Descriptions for afternoon courses for grades 5-12

In cases where more than the maximum number of participants is registered for a course, a drawing will decide which participants get a spot in that course and which are going to the course they indicated as their second choice. In order to provide equal opportunities the chronological order in which participants registered is not taken into account.

If you have any questions concerning the Afternoon Program, please contact Ms. Sturm at

At the Upper School, German remedial courses (grades 5-9) and English remedial courses (grades 7-9) are integrated in the afternoon. Recommendations for participation in these programs are made by the respective subject teachers, and notifications are provided to you with an informational letter at the end of the prior school year. Those courses are mandatory.  At the beginning of the school year (after the time tables for the upcoming school year have been finalized) you will be informed on which day the course is scheduled to take place.

In addition to the courses of the German School, the Friends of the German School are offering two dance courses (please sign up for them):

Grades 9 - 12: Beginners & Advanced Dancing Class (Fridays 3:15 - 4:45pm), additional cost : $290 (includes ticket to the Winter Ball)

> Information regarding Dance Classes

With questions regarding dance classes, please contact the Friends of the German School at

We look forward to a great school year and an exciting Afternoon Program!
